Life changing facts I learnt at MEDALL.

Well so I had visited Medall research center on the occasion of Women’s day and thanks to Dr Akhila, and Apasara learnt a lot of things about being a women.
I literally have more clearer view on how i should take care of my body and how I can be more fitter in life.

Dr AKHILA RAVIKUMAR works on the welfare of prevention of Diabetes by conducting camps . She runs master health program in Medall. Such a lovely lady, who is open to learn new things .

• PCOs and PCOd mostly occurs to women which leads to hormonal disorder which causes a ghotala in your system and you get menstrual irregularities which means late periods, obesity, hair on face chest, etc and infertility which can or cannot be true.
• Obesity- Well lets just say we tend to gain weight coz of various reason, biggest reason is being lazy. As we end up doing so much work during our day, which makes us lethargic. Also unhealthy eating, is an another cause.
• Depression/Anxiety disorder: long working hours as well as factors such as lack of sleep, too much tension, worrying for no reason, crazy work life schedule , love life not going great, etc there are soo many ways because of which you get depressed or get anxiety.
• Chronic Backache: Caused due to long work hours, especially sedentary jobs with long hours of static, can happen coz of Pcos/d also ,posture at work and inappropriate back support.
• Infertility: Lifestyle issues are a part of us living in the current world which leads to both fertility rate among women as well as pregnancies, affecting mothers who wish to get pregnant .
• Vitamin D Deficiency: Biggest problem in recent times, Sun is the total and only saver, yes you have medicines . But SUN bathing is what you should be doing to save yourself.
• Breast Cancer: Incidence of breast cancer is increasing in younger women, due to unhealthy lifestyles. In 5% women, it could be genetic, therefore the testing has to be done at an early age. Keep doing mammography every 2 months,or just go meet a doctor. Best way to keep yourself healthy.

Grand GANA Sabha at GRT -J.Hind .

MARGZHI Masam (festival ) was going on and i couldnt find aa better way to start with saba food.

Being a chennaite makes you explore alot of food items and festivities. I am lucky to be born here. Proud #chennaite .❤ So there is a 5 course meal happening at J.hind Grt.
I love everything about it also it happens only on Fri, sat and sunday till January. They also have famous classical musicians playing there. Grand Gana saba.

the meals were all vegetarian. As its all about respecting God, during that time.

So they always start with music. art performance which leads to lunch or a dinner. Mostly its dinner time, as that’s when most of them get free from work and can spend time for puja .

the Food was delicious the 5 course meal was a bomb, from soup, starter, 2 varieties, main course which had rice to dessert which was epic.

will be definitely going back again the coming year. Hope to see you all 😀

Fly to 6 different countries, and relish your taste buds with Soy Soi.

A traveller, while travelling always looks to try new cuisines and dishes . Someone who’s a foodie like me will always find reason to experiment, and learn more about each country cuisine we hop on to.

Thankfully Soy Soi is taking you to a trip , where your taste bud will not be able to decide whats good and what’s not.

So you can visit 6 countries, But I chose three Indonesia, Burma and Thailand. Asian food at its best. It’s basically a set menu only dutring the week. From soup to dessert. You will get a variety of dishes from the country you choose. Isn’t that a fun idea.

Everything was soo good that I still cannot decide what I liked more or less. The hot hot scrumptious food just made me fall in love all over again. 😀

First we flew to Indonesia. And I started my trip with a iced milo.

Main course :Nasi Goreng : the nasi goreng was tasty and filling for one whole person. The soft rice and chicken did the trick to make me want more, but had to keep space for other stuff also .

Then we flew to Burmese/ Burma
Main course :Burmese Khao Soi : this is a whole meal in itself, so many add ons to put in your khao , Not a fan of it , but this one did make me go back again .

Starter :Burmese chili tofu fun fact this tofu is actually made from besan
(gram flour) It was delicate, spicy and tasty .

salad :Lahphet – Burmese tea leaf salad : All you green tea lover,this salad will be your favourite.

and last but not the least, the last stop was Thailand : 
salad : Som Tam- Thai raw papaya salad

main course : Gai Phad Phrik- chicken stir fried with chili and Thai basil
Thai minced chicken in hot basil rice . looks like i enjoyed more of the main course clearly.

Tab Thim Grob – Thai jellied chestnut with jackfruit and coconut.. not a cocnut fan so din’t quiet enjoy it. But it is one of their specialties, which you should try.
The brownie and icecream was what I liked in dessert.

Do not forget to keep your tummy completely empty before you head here. Coz your in for a treat.

Totally worth the trip. For 2 people 2k approx.

People staying away from home, or just not good cooks or wish to eat something yummy but are lazy to go outside.

The three dishes curated by Chef Alfred and Sumeru team is one stop shop for all your cravings. From millet ki khicdi, to pepper chicken to panner makhni or chicken gravy. You have it all. Prepared in just 5 minutes, basically just put in a microwave and Voila your food is ready to be served. Hot Hot.

Sheraton Grand : The reef

Long walks to the beach, sit and take a sip or two. Laze around the resort a bit and relish the Grand buffet @reef restaurant at @sheratonchennai .

The grand buffet is all about tasting every bit that food has to offer.

From the tasty biryani, to Chinese to specialties from the sea to the very basic dal chawal.

Everything in one roof, look around taste everything, enjoy the food, as its super finger licking . The environment and the service is A class. People being very courteous and friendly makes you enjoy food more. Gonna go back again and enjoy the food and the view.

Love the interiors and the place so much. So glad Chennai has a new place to go and lovely food that just makes you want to eat and relish.

Last but not the least the chocolate cake and bread were the tip to the perfect end of our lovely meal🤩

Cafe Cakebee (Food review)

French windows, greenery around and amazing food to dine .
Here’s @cafecakebee . The new cute cafe which serves the best of cuisine.
I had a a scrumptious meal and cant wait to take my family/friends along.
The best part is every meal has a unique taste to it.

We ate a lottt of things and will everything was better than the other one. Will post down all that I love and want you all to taste/try it. When you visit the place 😀

My recommendation:

*Asian chicken broth soup : Chicken filled with alot of goodness. HOT HOT soup, with good amount of chicken and vegetables, giving you a tinge of ginger flavour. Made me order for another bowl of it. The right amount of everything made the soup delicious. 

*Classic Caesar salad and Balsamic infused melon salad

Well someone who’s not a big fan of salads, but loves to try new things did fall in love with these two. Ceaser salad taking my heart and Blasamic melon salad with the presentations was the show stealer. Filled with all the healthy things together. Every bite would make you taste something different.

 

*Chicken satay and Mutton Cigars

Chicken satay is a dish of seasoned, skewered and grilled meat, served with a sauce. My favourite dish of all times.  The chicken was tender and juicy.

The mutton cigars made of small chunks of mutton pieces, fried like a spring roll. Tasted well, crispy and hot.

*Mezze platter has my heart. Wherever I go, I do make sure to order it. The presentation was very appealing. Falafel, And pita bread were nicely made. The hummus was perfectly blended with the right spice. Yummyy..

*Chicken lasagna : a baked dish containing layers of boiled lasagna, and usually cheese, a seasoned sauce of tomatoes, and meat or vegetables. This layer of wholesomeness was so filling and soft and gooey. Just how I like it ❤ The good layers of chicken and vegetables is a whole meal for one person.

*Orange butter grilled fish : Served with cauliflower rice and grilled veggies. Looking for a healthy meal for one. Here is your to go meal. Healthy, tasty and soft. The fish is so soft that it melts in your mouth.

*Chicken tikka pizza : When a northie is given chicken tikka, in anything it wants to run to it first. The crispy pizza is bae. Chicken and cheese and your set to relax and enjoy the pizza and the view.

DESSERTS 

 

*New York cheese cake : This thing was the most unexpected dish . I have been very sceptical with cheese cakes always. The good good cheese was sooo fresh and the luscious. Must recommend.

 

 

*Seven layer cake . The chocolate lover, had to attack on something chocolaty. This layer of just chocolate and divine love of 7 layers . Did make me happy .

*Brownie shake and Blueberry smoothie.

The brownie shake was the show stealer. Looking for something healthy then do try the blueberry smoothie.

*Baklava, a Turkish sweet dish.  I had just visited turkey and had not even forgotten the taste of it. Found something similar here.  Sweet and the plating was just so appealing.

 

Meal for 2 is about 800-1000 approx.
