Grand GANA Sabha at GRT -J.Hind .

MARGZHI Masam (festival ) was going on and i couldnt find aa better way to start with saba food.

Being a chennaite makes you explore alot of food items and festivities. I am lucky to be born here. Proud #chennaite .❤ So there is a 5 course meal happening at J.hind Grt.
I love everything about it also it happens only on Fri, sat and sunday till January. They also have famous classical musicians playing there. Grand Gana saba.

the meals were all vegetarian. As its all about respecting God, during that time.

So they always start with music. art performance which leads to lunch or a dinner. Mostly its dinner time, as that’s when most of them get free from work and can spend time for puja .

the Food was delicious the 5 course meal was a bomb, from soup, starter, 2 varieties, main course which had rice to dessert which was epic.

will be definitely going back again the coming year. Hope to see you all 😀

I  especially am  huge fan of the pepper chicken. Reminds me of the south indian restaurants.

A little about Chef Alfred :Alfred Prasad is credited with elevating the reputation of British Indian food with his delicate treatment of fresh, seasonal produce. Becoming the youngest Indian chef to receive a Michelin star at the age of 29, he retained this accolade at Tamarind for 12 years and this is his 13th year running. He is highly lauded for his original take on traditional Indian cuisine. His mouth-watering seasonal menus put a fabulous 21st century spin on centuries old dishes; delicately balancing creativity and authenticity. It is important to him, to preserve the purity and flavour of ingredients and to present each creation as a complete sensory experience.

Last but not the least a little about the brand Sumeru : The brand that offers a wide variety of ready-to-cook as well as ‘heat & eat’vegetarian and non-vegetarian products across 25+ product categories, not only identified the consumer shift but has been bold enough to risk product innovation in the frozen food category dominated largely by snacks or sea food and frozen vegetables. In the span of the last one year, Sumeru has not only made innovative additions to its range of fun snacks such as the launch of the first ever ‘Chicken Tandoori and Chicken Garlic French Fries’ an interesting twist to the most loved French Fries, it is for the first time in the frozen food segment launching a niche range of products under the ‘quick meal category’.

I am totally in love with this concept. It is completely non peservated and stays for a year. Totally reccomend for all you bachelors, living alone and for ones who miss home cooked food. Here’s the quickest way to feel back home. Just like your ‘Ma ka khana’. There are available online and many stores all over the world.
